My father, Clyde L. Popejoy was a member of the detachment above. I am looking for any information on the base, the day to day activities, anyone who might have known my dad.
In his diary it appears the name of the base or town it was nearest, was Tivetshall, England. It may have been Tibenham. I do know it was within bicycling distance of Norwich where Dad spent a lot of leave time.
I have written a novel called "A Soldier's Child" loosly based on entries in his little military diary. I long to visit the location of the base it I can pinpoint it.
