This is exactly the type of confirmation that I was looking for! Thank you very much. Do you happen have or can you locate a photo of another B-17 from the 379th bomb group that has a serial number that is close to 42-107004? Although I am pretty sure by the date that this plane was produced it probably had the black triangle with white K on the tail, serial number below the triangle (107004) and squadron code below the serial number, I want to make sure that it did not in fact have the final 379th group markings on the tail consisting of a large yellow triangle with a smaller black triangle inside of it with the white K.
If you can come up with anything that would be super. If not, can you point me in the right direction?
