We will need your Dad's full name, and probably the serial number (but not SSN - it was not used by the Army).
You may wish to visit my website at the link below. Select the Bomb Groups link at the left of that page and then bring up each of the 2nd Division groups listed there. See if any of the airfield names ring a bell with you. That might give an additional clue.
