: Trying to find out name of regularly assigned radio operator of 448604, 95BG, 336BS. Acft lost on 24 Mar 45.
Thom, The SN of the plane was "48604". According to a book I have, it was in a midair collison with 48754 on 23 March 1945 and crashed in the UK. There is no MACR. There has to be an accident report which should identify the crew members. I don't know if the accident report would identify the Radio Operator. There should be a copy of the crew loading list with crew members names in the mission folder for the 95th BG for 23 March 1945. The mission folder should be in the National Archives at College Park, 8601 Adelphi Road, College Park, MD 20740-6001. I don't know if the National Archives will copy the loading list for the Lt. W. N. Dunwoody crew for you or if they require you to purchase a copy of the entire folder which might be almost 100 pages. Write to them and ask what the cost is for a copy of the losding list for the Lt.W. N. Dunwoody crew for the 95th BG, 336th BS for 23 March 1945. Sincerely, George D. Kasparian
