"k" -Bomb Squadron ?

In Jablonski History of the B-17 is a photograph of a B-17 which ditched in the English Channel {crew are in rubber Life raft}. The seriel numbers are two blurred to read-but under them on the tail is a large White/or Yellow letter "K". Which Bomb Group/Squadron had this call letter?
