I have a John W. Hammer, O-897478, assigned to the 347th BS, 390th BG, 5th Wing, 15h AF. He flew from 23 Apr 44 to 17 Aug 44. The 13 Apr 44 mission was to Wiener Neustadt AU. The Group was awared the Distinguished Unit Citation for this mission. He also flew six missions to Ploesti.
