Jacob G. "Jake" Wilcox, my Dad, who passed away, several years ago, was in the 8th AF in England from 1942 to 1945. I'd love to hear from anyone who knew him. He was a ground officer. From his records, he was Executive Officer in the Public Relations section at HQ 8th AF. His units during that time were 328th Service Group, 325th Bomb Sq, and the HQ 7 Photo Gp, RCN.
I have a couple of pictures from that time. One shows: Raymond J. Quick, Harry R Page, Langdon Strong, and G. F. Harris. (I hope those are the names because they signed the photos and not all signatures are easy to read)
The other shows: James V.Gallagher, NYC; George D. Freshwater, Fairfield, Ill; Joel P. Keen, Vero Beach, Fla.; and Kenneth Werner, Chicago.
Maybe someone is looking for those 8th AF men as well.
