: Hello all,
: It is with deep sorrow that I just learned that Andrée ("Dédée") De Jongh, founder of the Belgian Comet Line, the escape organization that helped downed Allied airmen get back to England via France and Spain, has quietly passed away this Saturday morning in a Brussels hospital.
: Many books have been written about her action and that of the Line. Among the many websites depicting her courage and determination, browse through the Comète-Kinship one at http://cometeline.org
: For a brief depiction of the Line and Dédée's story, go to http://home.clara.net/clinchy/neeball.htm

Hi Ed,

Sorry to hear of the passing of this great patriot. Many allied personnel were fortunate to be helped by the many groups who sheltered them and helped them escape from the Germans. We are greatly indebted to these groups and it is with sadness that we hear of their passing.

Vic
