I am searching for information about the squadron or crew that my uncle Lt. Lloyd Fickler served with during WW II. I know he was a member of the Eighth Air Force based in England. He received his wings at Roswell, NM on Nov, 1942 and shipped to England April, 1943. He flew 25 bombing raids over Europe and none of his crew was lost. He piloted 4 different bombers sometimes as pilot and co-pilot. One of the missions was an airplane factory at Regansforf and another submarine yard at Kiel. He became a flight instructor in the states after completing his 25 missions and was on Tinian Island when the atomic bomb was dropped on Japan. If you have any information about Lloyd or where I can find more information about his group and squadron I would like to hear from you.

Thank you,

Kathy (Lloyd's niece)
