James Joseph Carroll

Age 88, passed away September 23, 2007. He was born in New York City in 1919 to the late James and Mary (Manning) Carroll. On January 2, 1944 James was united in marriage to Ann Dalton in the Bronx borough of New York. He honorably served with the 8th Air Force as 1st Lieutenant during WWII occupying the position as bombadier on B-17's. He was very active in St. Helen's Catholic Church in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. James was a kind, giving & honorable man with an excellent sense of humor. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years Ann ( Dalton ). His beloved daughters: Corinne Gottman and Suzanne Quinlan. Also by 6 Grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Funeral mass was held Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Kenneth Chase officiating. Interment will be held at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly where full military honors will be rendered. Arrangements entrusted to PHILLIPS FUNERAL HOME, South Lyon.

I am very proud of my grandfather,
and the men who fought along side..
