Has anyone else been watching The War by Ken Burns? I am very disappointed in this series, especially after the great job Burns did on The Civil War.

Last night they were discussing RAF's failure early in the war and indicated only one in five RAF bombers had come within five miles of their target - which was just wrong. D.M. Butt, a member of the War Cabinet secretariat, analysed strike photos taken aboard RAF bombers and operation reports in August of 1941. The result, The Butt Report, indicated only one in three RAF bombers had come within five miles of their targets overall and only one in five came withing five miles of their targets in attacks on French Ports - only a quarter did so in attackes on Germany. Maybe this is nit-picking, but they didn't even state their source.

The show also said there were only nine guns on a B-17 and we all know there were ten, even on most early F models.

And I really liked the images showing a wall of gunfire supposedly coming from a group of planes that obviously came from a ship.

Anyone else see any errors?
Kevin
