Not sure if you are still looking for info or not. My dad was a ball turret gunner on Rum Dum during the summer of 1944. I also interviewed members of the original crew and found the story of how Rum Dum got its name. If you are still looking for info drop me a note. Of the original crew all the guys are gone and of my dad's crew only he and the pilot are left.

: : Friend was pilot of Rum Dum from Great Ashfield. Looking for stories, missions, pics of Rum Dum. Any/all info is appreciated.

: Hi Roger,

: 385thBG/550thBS B-17 serial# 42-31378 'Rum Dum'. This B-17 'Rum Dum' was famous for making 106 missions without an abort.
: It would be helpful if you could let us have your friends name.
: Cheers,
: Moofy
