: : : Lt Goodier was a B-17 pilot the summer of 1944 stationed in England. He flew his required missions and was rotated. I need to know the BG, the BS, his crew names, and the base where they were stationed. Also, if possible, the missions he flew and the dates he flew.
: : : I had an all too brief visit with Mr Goodier a few months back. Just long enough to appreciate the man and what he did.
: : : I would grately appreciate any/all information.

Jim:
I am the historian for the 44th BG. But I did check my database which has alot of other information and found that I do have Lt. Goodier Jr. 37 Missions. He flew from July 24, 1944 to November 29, 1944 he flew with a regular crew as follows Anthony J. Ostuni Co-pilot, Hamilton C. Platt Bombardier-Navigator, Francis T. O'Keefe Navigator,(Several Missions he flew with a nine man crew Platt did the navigation), Chester C. Durham Nose Gunner/Toggler (On those missions Durham was the Toggler),Charles C. Kray Radio Operator/Waist Gunner, Merle W. Thompson Engineer/Top Turret Gunner,Lester B. Bernstein Ball Gunner, Gordon C. Kemp Tail Gunner, and Carl Zeller Jr. Tail Gunner.
He flew in such aircraft as Million Dollar Baby, Julie II, Lucy, Blues into the Nite, Busy Baby, Carol Dawn, Hun Runner,Boomerangs Big Friend, The Birmingham Jewel, Linda, Snow White, Julie Mae, The Screwball Express, Scotch N'Soda, Queenie, Mary Jo, and Nobody's Baby. He probably flew Busy Baby 42-97469 the most. He started with group mission 173 and ended with group mission 244. I do have his designated targets also.
