I am sorry to hear of Gus passing. He leaves a great void. I corresponded with Gus about his brother Bill, bombardier. Bill was a class mate of my cousin William A. Gregory, Carlsbad, AAF, bombardier school, class 44-4. William was KIA 9/13/44, just a couple of months before Bill.
Today is a very special day. I honor these men for their valor and willingness to give their all for the rest of us and our way of life.
