My dad, who is very ill, tells me he was stationed as an engineer with the 8th Air Force at a Bomber Base near Chelmsford UK. Due to his condition, he cannot recall details.
Can anyone provide any info on any 8th AAF bases at or near Chelmsford from 1942-44? I am trying to get this info for posterity for the grandchildren.
