: Tracy, I checked a book I have which lists the names and hometowns of many 8th AF crewmembers listed on MACRs. It lists John R. Peterson's next-of-kin hometown as Bushnell, IL. His status is listed as POW which means that he probably survived the war.
: I next checked the SSDI for John R. Peterson and did find one whose last residence was Bushnell, Illinois. His dates are listed as 29 Dec 1923-01 Aug 1993. This may be the one who was the tailgunner with the 91st BG. George Kasparian
