To make a rather long story short, I am looking for my grandfather's military history to complete a project. I was able to access his enlistment records through NARA, but that was where my luck stopped. From what I have heard from his recollection, he was part of the 8th flying out of England in a B-17G nicknamed "Maiden America". Does anyone know of a place I can research more about his plane, and consequently what group he flew with? Any help or advice would be more than appreciated.
