Not being familiar with Miami Florida, being from Arizona, I do not know if this is near there, but my dad took his Primary Pilots training in summer of 1942 at Avon Park FLA.

: Further research of personal reports by airmen of the time report hotels on the beach being used as housing for troups with basic training taking place on the grounds. Not much more. Makes me wonder how this was all pulled off. Any experiences you can relate?? I'd like to hear them.
