Lt Thomas A. E. FOSTER (Serial O-741894) was piloting B-24 "Consolidated Mess" Serial 42-64444 on the 448th BG's third mission, which was to Ludwigshafen, Germany, on December 30, 1943. The Missing Air Crew Report is MACR # 4178. Lt Foster was KIA. Lt Foster was one of the original 448th BG crews (crew #61 flown over from the US by Foster in "Lady Luck" serial 41-28578.)
