Notice that it is not a normal B-17G, but an H2X-equipped one. Also note the yellow tail, which was painted around the original serialnumber, the yellow wingtips and the all yellow chevron on the right wing. It differs from the normal wingpainting for the 487th, which had a yellow/red chevron, with the red band closest to the wingtip. It was probably matched with a similar chevron on the lower left wing.
