Hi Chuck,
Go to www.yankeeairmuseum.org
They have a fully restored and flyable B-17. The museum is located in Belleville, Michigan.
Laura

: I posted here amonth or so ago looking for a single mission story to make into a film. Well, I found it in the pilot (still alive, 87 and kicking like he was 21) of the 'Sqwaukin Chicken' & the 545ths mission to Scwienfurt on April 13, 1944.

: NOW I need a restored B-17 to actually shoot in. I was visiting my parents in Hazlehurst, Ga & heard that the restoration facility formerly based in Kissimmee, Fl had moved to Douglas, Ga (About 40 minfrom my parents). So, I drove down there this past Sat and, naturally, noone was there as it being Thanksgiving weekend. BUT, the wings for the Fort that Don Brooks (He paid to ahve the Liberty Belle restored, which I ironicly got to crawl through a few weeks ago on a visit to Jax, where I live). Well, the hanger had Army Air Corp symbolson there and there was a beautiful, black - fully restored - B-25 sitting out front dirrectly in front of the B-17 wings (The fuselage was in the hanger).

: OK, now my questiobn: For 5 days I need a Fort that is restored to 1944 configuration to shoot in. It doesn't have to fly, but ALL of the 50 cal guns need to move (NOT fire though, as I'll make them fire via computer generated muzzle flashes). The tail, tiop, waist & ball turret guns.

: I'd like to get in touch with Mr. Brooks. A mailingot email addy would be great,as I'd like to show him the finished script when its done & ask if he can furnish the plane. I'd like to get this short film made before ole Ben passes away & the aircraft needs to have enough room around it to shoot.

: For those wwho furnished some ideas previously, many thanks.
