Information needed Crew members Pictures that flew with Grandfather William G. Nelson (Bill) on N. African campaign non combat transporting Gen. Eisenhower on B-17 to look over the aftermath of the campaign. I am looking for what plane & crew, 10 of them I believe. Found article in June 1945 Newspaper
about him flying with this crew with Eisenhower.
Grandfather deceased 5-10-05 age 87. 63 Missions, also lost crew in March of Batan when he was sent instead to fly with Eisenhower as a crew chief.
