: : hello, Im looking for any informations about missions to oranienburg (in the north of Berlin)...the maintarget were the "Auerwerke". Has anybody an idea if there are still some crew members alive, which were involved in these missions to Oranienburg?? A short answer would be nice:-) Kind regards
: Robert, My deep apology. The mission I was on in the Fall of'43 was to Marienburg. NOT Oranienburg.
: You will have to excuse an "old man" whose memory seems to be fading! If you are interested in Marienburg let me know. Gua Mencow
Gus,
No apology necessary from one of our true Heroes. Gus, the Geary crew is so famous why was there never a book out on you guys? You have the video and that is stellar but you can only cover so much and the rest is on the cutting room floor. You were a Group Navigator and this was a lead crew, very distinguished. Did you keep a diary? I would like to ask one BIG favor Gus, could you sign a nice 3 x 5 card with your name, rank, postion, Bomb Group, squadron, and the following missions "Regensburg, Munster, Schweinfurt". I would like to add it too my original copy of the 390th BG "Blue Book".
Please send too:
