Thanks for your post. It is good to remember those men and that time when all was at stake. Much like today. We do indeed have a lot to be thankful for.

: I always like to remember July 29th as the day three men on my crew were killed at our base at the 96th Bomb Group. These men were Lt. Robert S. Lyle, pilot:
: Lt. Roger W. Kellogg, navigator: S/Sgt. Walter Kozlowski. top turret gunner. This was in 1944, 62 years ago, but it is a day I will never forget. I am thankfull that I was not killed that day. T/Sgt. Charles D. Terry, Radio Operator/Gunner.
