You guys gave me some good leads--much appreciated. I have a couple of really stupid questions:
401st 614th Bombardment 1943-1945 IW
Can you tell me what the IW code refers to? Can't seem to find the legend to the codes and it's not in the AAF dictionary. Is this a correct assumption, as far as how things were classed: Bomb Group, Squadron, Division, Wing, Unit. Thanks from a greenhorn. Tom
