I have learned that aviation cadets were tested several ways, mentally and physicaly to determint suitability for that service and also to place them is the field as Pilot, Naviagator, or Bombardier. I also learned that a system called "stanine testing" was used. Can someone please explain what that was and how it was used to distinguish who would be selected for what aviation job, P, N, or B?? I'm really courious and would greatly appreciate the information.
