Dear Friends:
I am trying to locate a sergeant John Shoemaker who was rescued one the coast of the Albanian Adriatic by resistance people in 1943.NB: There may be other spellings for Shoemaker

How do I go about finding him? His plane must have been downed or ditched over the Adriatic or Albania because of where he was rescued. He was hidden for abou six months until he was turned over to the Brits.

Is there a way of tracking the 24's that were downed in 1943 in that genreal area?

The resistance leader Shaban Peshtani became an American citizen after the war and is now my neighbor here in Michigan. Shaban tell me that Shoemaker's address was something like 5000 Ocean Parkway, Brooklyn New York.

Any ideas or guidance would certainly be appreciated. Many thanks. ALBERT STERLINI, 2202 DERBY RD, BIRMINGHAM,MI 48009 tel: 248 470 2202
