Seeking information regarding the paint scheme and marking logic for 34th Bomb Group, 4th and 7th Bomb Squadrons B17. The red tail is obvious in a couple of pictures but the wing and tail red stripe locations are unclear.
I am trying to build and paint a display model of the B17G for a waist gunner who served in both the 4th and 7th squadrons. The natural metal finish aircraft is the starting point for this effort. I am yet undecided about which squadron the aircraft will be painted to represent which is why I ask for both.
