Hi Reed,

You didn't give much except the name and there are many planes with the same name. There were two in the 96th Bomb Group, "Ole Puss" 42-30872 of the 337th Squadron and "Ole Puss II" 42-30073.

"Ole Puss" failed to return due to a mid-air collision on 16 Dec 1943 and crashed into the North Sea. There were 10 KIA. Pilot was Lt Lewis M. Kerrick.

"Ole Puss II" crashlanded at East Wretham, UK on 17 April 1944 and was salvaged the next day.
