2nd LT. Clarence Tabb from Canton Mississippi. He flew with the Major Norman C. Appold Crew in the 376th Bomb Group 514th Bomb Squdron he did fly the Low Level Ploesti Raid 1 Aug 1943 on Air Craft 42-40657 Name G.I.GINNIE. Roger Historian 44th BGVA
: My father was in the 8th and participated in some of the bombing runs on Plosti. I believe he was in the 44th but am not positive. His name was Clarence " Chuck " Tabb. His crew, according to my father and the book Plosti, called him " Tabby ". He was a Bombadier/navigator.
