I can tell you the following...about your Dad's Uncle.....
Lt. Moses Lovenstein from New York, NY was with the 92ndBG / 326thBS based at Podington.
He was the Co-pilot with the Lt. John E. Glasso Jr. Crew.
On 11th September their aircraft serial# 43-38290 'Canvas Back lV' Failed to return from the days mission to Merseburg, Germany. Having been hit by German Fighter fire, the aircraft crashed Groet, The Netherlands. 3 Crew members were KIA, and 6 became POW's.
MACR 8887 (Missing Air Crew Report number).
