I was given the new book, "12 O'Clock High" Logbook by Allan Duffin, for Christmas. Anyone who loved the book, movie, or television series should have this book. It is an excellent and detailed account of Sy Bartlett and Bernie Lay Jr., how they came to write the original book, how they wrote the screenplay, about the actors, how the movie was made, etc. Duffin did his homework. It also describes each episode of the television series in detail.

I highly recommend this book. The section on the Toby Mug was also very interesting. How the movie was marketed was also facinating. Curtis LeMay himself helped to promote the movie.

I was also impressed to hear people like LeMay say the movie was very real from flight suits down to the nitty gritty details.

Buy this book and you won't be sorry. Allan Duffin has posted a few e-mails in the October and November sections of this website and these will tell you how to order.

Fred, you should post info on this book on the sidebar of this website. What do you say? The book gets a big thumbs up from me!
Kevin
