One problem is that the 20th Fighter Group was flying combat missions every day in May 1944 apart from 26th May.
The missions ranging as far apart as St Quentin, France, Berlin and Sorau.
I did find a FW 190 claim on 22nd May by Major Russell F. "Gus" Gustke and that claim was around the Kiel area.
On 24th May the Group flew to "The Big B" Berlin were the great ace Captain Jack Ilfrey claimed 2 Bf 109:s, the second Bf 109 was a head-on clash with the Bf 109 striking Capt. Ilfeys right wingtip and it went down in flames.
