Hi Guys,

Wonder if anyone can help with any info on Louis M. Sassi.
In the message I recieved from the lady seeking this information said ...

I am trying to find out the crew of a plane that was shot down -- flew out of Grafton Underwood.
'' Fitz's Bandwagon '' --- a Louis M Sassi is thought to have died in the last raid that it flew, please would you know where I could find this information?

So far I have found nothing to tie in the above details, in fact, I did not find any mention of Louis M. Sassi, in the 'Mighty Eighth Roll Of Honor',
or any mention of Louis M. Sassi or 'Fitz's Bandwagon'on the 384thBG Web Site, or in the two books I have on the 384thBG
'Keep The Show On The Road' and 'Memories of the 384th Bombardment Goup (H)' 2nd Edition by Ken Decker.

However, having checked the two Web Sites of ....
http://www.aviationarchaeology.com/src/reports.htm
http://www.accident- report.com/Crew_Names/names_see.html

I have found an entry for Louis M. Sassi in the 'USAF Incident and Accident Personnel List for 1944'.
Before I ask the lady to apply for a copy of the Accident Report, I just wondered if anyone has any info on Louis M. Sassi or the a/c named 'Fitz's Bandwagon'.

Many Thanks guys,
Moofy
