I flew with the James F. Womuldurf crew, 398th BG, 601 BS. We dropped our bombs on Schwienfurt on Febuary 23, 1945. We took a direct hit by an 88 shell and had one wounded crewman. We landed at a new P-47 field near Nice France I think. Our plane was damaged so was grounded. I have often wondered what the planes number was and if it was junked. Any help?
