Project Bits and Pieces shows that Lt Harold C. Coffman was the pilot of 42-97232 QW O ("GI Issue", "Government Property" or "Sandy's Refueling Boys". It failed to return due to German fighters and crashed off of Zodutelande, The Netherlands. There were 9 KIA. MACR 11259 is available by contacting Lynn.Gamma@MAXWELL.AF.MIL
at no charge.
