My uncle Jesse Edward Maxey JR served with the 545thBS 384thBomb Group, from the 13th May 1944 to 28th August 1944.
I have been researching his history for the past 8 months, l so far have all his ribbons and all but one of his medals and have all his patches. But what l don't have is his Silver Star...the reason why is, it's not listed any where. My Grandfather, told my father that his brother was awarded it. You see, I'm putting together a shadow box, with all my fathers and uncles insignia, and will be displaying it on base at RAF Lakenheath. So l need it to be correct. Can you help in anyway.
