I am the eldest daughter of three daughters of Tech./Sgt. Robert F. Stott. My father was in the 96th bomb group, 413th squadron. He would hardly ever speak of his World War 11 experiences. All I ever heard was, "The Polish women gave us soup." I LOVE THE POLISH PEOPLE for that reason.
My father marched on a 86-day Black March across Nazi Germany. He was in two Nazi prison camps, Stalag Luft 4 and Stalag Luft 6, and I was very surprised to find out that he also spent two weeks in Buchenwald
Concentration Camp. In total he spent 14 months in these horrid prison camps.
