Walt was KIA on 28 Jan '45 in a/c #42-32054 (FLAK SHAK).
He was assigned to the 92nd BG/407th BS as Pilot. They were on a mission to Cologne when hit by Flak. Crashed near Palmersheim, G. 1KIA, 8 POW
