Pilots name: Captain James E. Buckley, 0-024837.
370th Fighter Squadron, Code a/c: CR-T, this was before the 370th Fighter Squadron changed to ”CS” to avoid confusion with the 367th Fighter Squadron´s ”CP”.
Circumstances of the loss: MIA on 11 Jan 1944 while escorting bombers out of Germany, possible oxygen failure. He is commemorated on the wall of the missing at Cambridge.
