A veteran wrote me a while back, taking me to task for indicating the wrong location for the airfield. I have VERY carefully researched the location and I have documented the exact location indicated - which, by the way, is the intersection of the two runways (that is the practice I adopted for two-runway airfields).
Anyway, the veteran was rather annoyed with me that I would not move the indicated location as he had described it - regretfully so, because he was there and should know!
Well, the mystery was answered on a recent trip to MH. The veteran had said that the airfield was located to the EAST of the A12 highway (I show it to the WEST) - but I did not know that they had re-routed the A12! The airfield does indeed lie EAST of the former route of the A12 (now called the A1214)!
I have been searching thru all my back email (note to self: delete a bunch of that stuff!) and I cannot find who that veteran was so I can thank him, and tell him that the mystery is solved. I just wanted to let him know that I did listen to him and did pursue the matter to a verifiable conclusion.
