: : Looking for pictures or any information on crew specifically Milton E. Jones (Engineer/top turret gunner) who served from July to Sept 1944 in Deopham Green. If anyone can provide info on bomber color scheme, markings and missions would greatly be appriciated. I am doing a research project on the plane and crew.

: Hi Ceasar,
: In Roger Freemans book 'The Flying Fortress Story', although it lists this a/c serial#
: 43-37631 as being Ass. to the 8thAF on 8.6.44 it does not give which Bomb Group it was assigned to. In fact, it is listed as Salvaged through None Battle Damage on 12.7.44.
: On the 452nd BG Web Site, it does actually list that there was a 'Melancholy Baby' with the 452ndBG, gives no serial#
: If you have not already visited the above Web Site, perhaps someone there can help.
