Assuming its the flaming bomb insignia on the lapel... it's an ordnance insignia, appearing to be an "early" style... I'm not sure if there were different styles for different branches of service, i.e. one for Army, one for Air Corps/Army Air Forces, etc. but I'll look it up over the weekend... it could be an "ordnance disposal" insignia, but again I'll check it out.
