My name is Michael D Black, my father's name was George W Black. He served as a tail gunner on an aircraft nicknamed Lazy Lady (or The Lazy Lady). His first mission was the Oct 14th mission to Schweinfurt and was aboard the aircraft when it suffered a midair collision with another B17 over Berlin on his 13th mission. The plane made it back to England with the help of a British Spitfire (sans all guns) and was scrapped for parts. I believe the Piolots name was Cap Lavery (not sure on spelling). Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thank-you.
