306th BG Operation Numbers

Could someone please talk a little ablut the 306th BG, the Squadrons, their normal size for planes & types, the personnel, both flying and ground crew, and include some information about how mission assignments were made for the squadrons. How many from each squadron and how often and how the easy and more difficult/risky targets were assigned to each.

Some of this I have read in books but not the assignment operational stuff that went on. How were new crew members iintorduced to combat? Cold turkey, just do it, or, were they given an easy milk run for their first mission.
