I've recently discovered what can only be described as a 'dump' close to a living site on an abandoned American airbase here in Norfolk. Amongst the relics recovered are a large number of intact Brylcreem jars. I was wondering whether any veteran could tell me whether or not Brylcreem was as widely used by the USAAF as it was by the RAF ... ? Would Brylcreem have been purchsed from the base PX or from English chemists? Does anybody out there remember any other brands of toiletries used during the war .... I've found lots of Fitch's shaving lotion bottles and a well preserved tube of Molle shaving cream.
Thanks for your help.
