I read these comments with amazement. I would seriously doubt that Terry meant any offense at all. I certainly mean no offense to anyone, and in fact usually avoid offending people rather scrupulously. But... Many of us, and certainly the 8th AF, are Americans. So what? Are we not allowed to refer to our Declaration of Independence now, as someone finds it offensive? Why is that? Freedom is offensive? Explain the Magna Carta? Should I be offended by that document? Or the Polish Constitution? Or what? How many Americans are buried in overseas cemeteries? Why are they buried there? For YOUR freedom. Everyone's. We've come twice to help, but maybe that position might have to be rethought next time... you apparently didbn't need our help, eh? We can go back and forth over whatever it is, but the bottom line is this: we came. If we hadn't, well... maybe you'd be speaking German? (Sorry... don't want to offend any Germans, but you get my point, I'm sure.) Oh by the way, I lost count of how many times other nations come to help the US after an earthquake, or tornadoes, or hurricanes.. or anything else for that matter...let me see.... oh yah.... ZERO.
