: With the help of wonderful people I am narrowing down the search. Apparently I have much memorabilia. We think perhaps he was in the 305th Bomb group. 2nd Lt. almost positve a Bombardier on a B-17 Flying missions 44, maybe 43. Graduated from Ordnance Officer's Training School at Aberdeen Proving Grounds as the 29th class, 1943, Company C 4th Platoon. I have the class book. Also I have a scrapbook that among other things mentions both Gowen Field in Boise and MacDill in Florida with accompanying photos. He enlisted from Yonkers NY where he grew up. He died August 16th 2003. I am his daughter. I am attempting to find out what he did and with whom in WWII. I want to know who his crew members were if in fact he was a bombardier on a b-17. Thank you for any info that you may have. My Best, Liz S.

Hi Liz,

You can check to see if he was a bombardier at www.freepages.military.rootsweb.com/~hfhm/index.html This site is dedicated to bombardiers. Ask Dave if he has him listed and when he finished his training.

Vic
