: My dad, Lt. Theodore J. Krol of Hammond, Ind was the bombardier on the B-17 Man O' War, based at Deenethorpe field in London, which was shot down over France. He evaded the Germans, & years later reunited with his surviving crew members. Does anyone have any memories or stories relating to my dad and his crew? I would like to hear from you!
Hello Mary Anne, My brother was also a bombardier in the 401st Bomb Group based at Deenethorpe. Do you know what Bombardier school your Dad went to and the date of his graduation? It is highly possible they were in the same class. Let me know.
Sincerely, Gus Mencow
