2Lt William P. Nicholson was the pilot of 42-7543 "Georgia Belle" of the 392nd Bomb Group, 578th Squadron, when it failed to return due to flak and crashed at Munster, Germany. The crew of 10 all became POWs. The MACR 1164 covering this AC and crew is available free of charge by contacting Lynn.Gamma@MAXWELL.AF.MIL. I can send you the crew list if you wish.
